Gold medals are awarded by banks to students in order to encourage excellence in academic performance. In the recent past, banks such as State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Bank of Maharashtra have sponsored a gold medal each to the top performers of the PGDM.
